The advent of 2015 is bringing with it a slew of businesses opening this year. With international brands and restaurant concepts, the district is now more than ever an epicenter and cultural destination for global visionaries & creative trendsetters.

1. Moschino

With a long list of innovative and eccentric trends like “Drop Dead Glamour” and “Gold N Denim,” the luxury Italian brand Moschino is an international fashion sensation. Opening right here in the West Hollywood Design District, Moschino’s first-ever West Coast boutique will be open for business Thursday, January 15th thanks to LA native, and Moschino’s creative director, Jeremy Scott.

2. L’Agent

Penelope Cruz’s affordable luxury lingerie line, L’ Agent, will be opening its first west coast boutique in the West Hollywood Design District on the corner of Melrose and La Cienega, between Alice + Olivia and Alfred Coffee {In the Alley}. With several timeless and sultry collections of lingerie, L’ Agent hopes to open by February, in time for Valentine’s Day 2015.

3. Michael Stars:

The classic and modern lifestyle-wear of Michael Stars is hitting Melrose Avenue, with fashion finds loved by some of the most trendy celebrities like Jessica Alba, Olivia Wilde and Jessica Biel. The Michael Stars label reflects urban-city culture and stylish personalities, offering an array of chic and refined looks for both men and women.

4. Le Relais De l’Entrecôte:

Los Angeles foodies will love the new Le Relais De l’Entrecôte, a Parisian one-dish steakhouse coming to Melrose Avenue. The restaurant will feature classic French interior accents, with both indoor and outdoor seating, that will inspire an enjoyable European dining experience as you order their perfected steak frites, doused in buttery herb sauce.

5. Au Fudge

Au Fudge will be the West Hollywood Design District’s newest organic and kid-friendly restaurant, conceptualized by actress Jessica Biel and esteemed designer and editor Estee Stanley. Biel has told sources that Au Fudge will be “the Soho House for kids,” offering rainbow-inspired ice-cream and sweets, gourmet comfort foods, and haute drinks for tea parties.

6. E.P and L.P

Alice + Olvia, L'Agent and E.P L.A, in the West Hollywood Design District

Located in the same building as L’Agent with an entrance just outside the district, the new E.P (Extended Play) and L.P (Long Play) restaurant and lounge venue, brought by David Combes and DJs Grant Smilie and Axwell of Swedish House Mafia, is expected to open in late February. Designed by Projects of Imagination, the first floor eater will feature Pan-Asian cuisine prepared by Australian chef Louis Tikaram, while the 4,000 square foot rooftop space will serve as a luxe lounge and bars with unbeatable views.
