Roberto Gavazzi is honoured to announce that also Piero Lissoni, the art director of Boffi, has received the Compasso d’Oro Career Award from the prestigious ADI foundation.
The official announcement reads as follows: “It is a career marked by modernism, an approach defined by cohesion and method to offer reassuring and measured designs combined with an emotional poetry.A career that has been able to explore and combine different design disciplines, giving back to us the idea of the unity of creative action.”
Thus continues the partnership that started 35 years ago when Gavazzi took over the helm of Boffi and provided it with an industrial vocation and an ambitious vision. Lissoni’s creative intuition contributed to nourishing and expanding this new approach of understanding and designing the architectural systems of Boffi.
Conceived and created by Lissoni to celebrate the 90th anniversary of the brand, the Novanta kitchen, which debuted at Milan Design Week 2024, is concrete proof of this avant-garde look, which is marked by a formal rigour that is paired with a contemporary design aesthetic.
The careers of Gavazzi and Lissoni run in tandem and are closely linked by a visionary and enterprising spirit that today has culminated in the awarding of the world’s most authoritative prize in design.
