Beautifully Destroyed by RISK

“A splash of color can speak a thousand words on some mundane, dilapidated building or surface,” says Los Angeles based graffiti artist RISK 1 . His mural series “Beautifully Destroyed” does just that. In collaboration with Woven Accents, an innovative rug purveyor and producer that bridges the gap between art and design, RISK brought his series to fruition in the design district.

Woven Accents’ mission to create authentic design has fostered a creative environment, filled with window installations, rug colloborations, and outdoor art. Their annual mural program engages with artists and the community alike, transforming their showroom storefront into a piece of art.

Rather than using words to elicit a response, RISK exclusively uses colors and simple shapes to engage with his audience. Creating something deconstructed to these rudimentary elements resulted in a refined project, “perfect with its imperfections.” Woven Accents mural by RISK, Beautifully Destroyed, in the West Hollywood Design District

RISK’s “Beautifully Destroyed” mural on Woven Accents gives the community more than something to look at; it is inspiring, innovative, and interactive. The piece offers visitors to the design district a break from their everyday reality and evokes an emotion and sense of creativity that can be carried onwards.
