The Design District’s Star-Studded Oscars Itinerary

This Sunday marks the date for the 87th Academy Awards show honoring the best in film this year. While the Dolby Theater houses the award ceremony and sequential Governors Ball, the design district hosts many of the coveted, red-carpet Oscars celebrations.

 

1. Vanity Fair and Chrysler Celebrate Richard Linklater and Boyhood

What: This private cocktail reception honors the director and cast of Academy Award–nominated film Boyhood and benefits the Austin Film Society.

2.   Charles Finch and Chanel’s 7th Annual Pre-Oscar Awards Dinner

What: The exclusive dinner will most certainly be an A-List affair. According to The Hollywood Reporter, “Kierra Knightley, James Righton, Kristen Stewart, Julianne Moore, Reese Witherspoon, Naomi Watts, Live Schreiber, Jessica Chastain, January Jones, Eddie Redmayne, Lily Allen, Lily Collins, Chris Pine” and more will be in attendance.

3. Envelope Please

What: The 14th annual Oscar viewing party hosted by Pauley Perette of NCIS and The Abbey founder David Colley benefits the AIDS Project Los Angeles (APLA).

3. Elton John AIDS Foundation Viewing Party

What: Hosted by Sir Elton John and David Furnish, the viewing party raises millions in support of The Elton John AIDS Foundation (EJAF) and features dinner by the infamous Chef Gordon Ramsay.
